Students work in pairs to make Venn diagrams of things they like. They had so much fun discussing what they do and don't have in common!
A sample of student work for prospective employers; I strive to inspire learning through creativity and self-expression.

The book Heckedy Peg is often a favourite with my students. The illustrations are so stunning and haunting. This group particularly loved it and collaborated on writing a message to Audrey and Don Wood and were so excited when they received a reply!

Students made a 24 hour pie chart of their day. (My students have 9 hour school days so their charts were less varied)

Students learn that they can rephrase the order of numbers when adding and still have the same result (3+2 is the same as 2+3).

Hundertwasser drawings (with plasticine lollypop trees!)

This was probably the best day of the year : )

Great for tactile learners. Students trace words on each other's back and try to figure out what the word is.

Grade 5 They created many of the illusions themselves!

Started with the letter R and turned it into a person in the rain. Used watercolour over white crayon for the rain drop effect
